This auction comprises selected items from estates in Guelph, Pickering, Hamilton & Elmira, plus additions from collectors.
Visbids is heavily invested in helping with estate management and downsizing. This can be a very emotional process. We do our best to select material of interest to our buyers and at the same time assist homeowners or beneficiaries maximize the value of their life time possessions which need to find a new home.
As a result, Visbids’ auctions are always different.
For example highlights from a Hamilton estate are a Kull the Barbarian collector sword and a man’s vintage Omega Constellation watch.
The Guelph estate offers mainly designer furnishings, MCM style tables, rugs and art. There is a Bowflex treadmill for those looking to stay or get into better cardio shape. There is a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan with an electric wheelchair ramp. The vehicle is very well maintained. It is stored in a clean residential garage. It does not come certified or safetied but it is low mileage and appears to be in very good condition. The buyer will need to arrange through Visbids an appointment with the estate property manager to pick up the vehicle. The estate also has a Bowflex treadmill assembled in the basement. The buyer will have to arrange with the estate property manager a time in Guelph to come and dismantle and remove the treadmill. Please bring tools, muscle and expertise. There is also a Pride Mobility scooter in the auction (located in Moffat).
The Pickering estate was a very large move. The family purchased numerous paintings directly from local artists in the 1980’s and other local architectural prints from Markham and Scarborough and European paintings. The family collected antique iron accessories, dug bottles in New Brunswick and collected local stoneware as well. The home was furnished with several pieces of vintage furniture. The owners were avid readers and there are several antique and modern books in the auction.
The highlight from the Elmira estate was discovering a working Bally Old Chicago pinball game. The challenge was to get the pinball game from the basement up a narrow set of stairs and onto the truck. Successfully done!
Our online auction has a great variety of collector coins and currency including Olympic coins, mint silver $20, 50 and $100 coins.
