Location: Moffat, Ontario
Date: May 1-9, 2024
May 1-9, 2024 A large one-owner lifetime collection of acoustic and electric guitars, ukulele, violin, drum kits, amps, pre-amps, studio recording equipment, including hundreds of cables, speakers, digital storage, and a wide variety of switchers, microphones, foot pedals, filters, and much more.

This auction portrays a large single owner collection from a musician who dedicated his time to playing and recording music.  His main instruments were the acoustic and electric guitar.  But he was multi-talented and played in addition the ukulele, bongos, drums, violin, flute, and keyboard. Besides playing music, he spent a great deal of his time recording music.  He was not only a musician but also a sound engineer by the looks of his audio equipment.

First let us look at his collection of guitars.  He had over 20 guitars including Espana, Yamaha, Fender, Hagstrom, and  Seagul acoustic guitars.  His electric guitar collection was larger with instruments by Stage Classic, Rocker Music, Kramer, Profile, Danelectro, Ibanez, Nova, Silvertone, Fender and Fender Squier, Ashbury, and B. C. Rich.  There were several guitar amps from Fender to a novelty Pignose.  Many of these were portable amps.

There were many audio recording devices in his studio-home.  There were several places in his home where whole racks of equipment were housed in a stationary set-up to record and manipulate the sound. For the technically minded music enthusiast you will find highly specialized equipment like matrix switchers, interfaces, mixers, controllers, power supplies, special effects processors, phase shifters and more.  He also had several storage devices to preserve the music he either played or recorded.  He had miles of cables and cords and wires to hook up all the guitars and sound recording equipment.

And the last essential ingredient were the speakers which ranged from many bookshelf sized speakers and a few mini speakers right up to two concert sized vintage Marshall speakers.  It took a great deal of technical know-how to configure all these many pieces of equipment and produce, mix and record the sound.

Enjoy looking through the collection.  Too bad we couldn’t play any of his sound tracks.
